While at VH1, Dave re-imagined Pop Up Video for the social-generation, developed real-time Interstitials to Air, re-invented how viewers watch Music Videos by merging OnAir and Digital content, and leveraged Instagram as a real-time second screen. Currently, he just completed a “DVR Proof” experience that engages users wherever and whenever they watch VH1’s Mob Wives. Dave is Vice President, Future TV + Cross-Platform Innovation at VH1.

Keyvan Peymani is the managing director of the digital strategy division at ICM Partners, a talent and literary agency representing clients in the fields of motion pictures, television, publishing, music, theater, branded entertainment and digital media. ICM Partners is one of the predominant agencies in the United States and Europe, with its principal offices in Los Angeles, New York and London.

As head of digital strategy, Mr. Peymani’s focus is the expansion of the agency’s efforts across all aspects of the technology and digital sectors, bringing innovative opportunities to the agency and its clients, including the creation of new business and investments with long-term benefits.
Prior to joining ICM Partners, Mr. Peymani served as Vice President of Direct-to-Consumer Business Planning and Operations at Warner Bros., where he led strategy, operations, planning and development for the DTC division within digital distribution. In addition, he oversaw the Media Manufacture on Demand, Mobile Applications and Out My Window business lines and worked on industry leading forays into the first fully digital movie application, the first screenings of movies through Facebook and the acquisition of Flixster. Previously, he served as the head of content acquisitions for catalog content and led the wholesales efforts at Netflix; he led alternative business development for Disney’s music group; and he was the Chief Operating Officer at Nettwerk Music Group.

Mr. Peymani began his career leading his own new media company and has advised Fortune 100 companies around the world. He currently serves on the faculty of USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, covering entertainment and emerging business models.

David Preisman - Showtime David Preisman

David has spearheaded Showtime’s development on emerging television platforms since 1999, launching over 35 projects to date. This groundbreaking work has been recognized with over 30 industry awards including three Emmys®.

David has a passion for the evolution of television and the development of rich viewer experiences. Early on, he developed a synchronized 24/7 enhanced TV service for Showtime that made it easy to instantly access trivia, including cast information for on-air programming. Working with TiVo, he launched the industry’s first ads that allowed the viewer to set their DVR to record directly from a Showtime commercial. He also created addressable interactive ads on Dish that identified a viewer and allowed Showtime subscribers to link to a video portal while offering non-subscribers the ability to order Showtime via the remote.

Much of this early success has evolved over the years into what David’s team now calls the Showtime Preview Application. This TV-based video portal app allows viewers who don’t have Showtime to find out what they’re missing by offering free sample episodes and the ability to upgrade with a few clicks of the remote. This app has launched a wide variety of technology platforms with satellite, cable and telco MVPDs with more rollouts on the horizon.

In addition to driving functional innovation, David has also leveraged technology to create a more robust entertainment offering. His team has developed and launched Showtime Sports® Interactive, an Emmy® Awarding winning app for the cable standard EBIF that gives fight fans instant access to fighter profiles, calendars, trivia and live social media.

Earlier this year, David and his team launched the very first in-program interactivity on Smart TV’s. SHO Sync for LG Smart TV’s allows viewers to get deeply immersed in their favorite Showtime series including Dexter, Homeland and Ray Donovan. This Emmy nominated experience lets fans play along with TV shows using the TV remote control.

In recent years, David also helped manage the digital development team that created Showtime’s authenticated service, Showtime Anytime, and he developed the in-house system for managing images, editorial content and online video feeds.

David has been an active participant in CableLabs’ committees, helping draft the CableLabs ETV user interface specifications. He has also been an active in CTAM, the AFI’s Digital Content Lab, The Television Academy and other industry associations as a committee member, mentor and frequent speaker.

Before taking on interactive technologies at Showtime, David was part of the team that brought digital video editing in-house. Beginning as an editor, he also created several content management systems for everything form tracking projects to management of video assets, many of which are till used today.

Prior to his work at Showtime, David worked as an animator, web developer, video editor, TV producer and graphic designer. He also taught video production and animation to junior high school students on Long Island. David graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in broadcast communications and art.

Shapiro is a Governor of the Television Academy, an Adjunct Professor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and Chairman of Village Green Network. He was previously Partner at Media Valuation Partners, has served as an expert before the FCC, and is completing a book on the history of television.

Evan Silverman is Senior Vice President, Digital Media, A+E Networks®, and oversees digital products and content for A&E®, HISTORY®, Lifetime®, LMN®, FYI™ and H2®. He helps set strategic direction for the properties, and manages those networks’ websites, mobile and emerging platforms, broadband video and TV Everywhere initiatives.

During his tenure which began in December, 2009, A+E Networks has taken a leadership role in TV Everywhere with more than 25 million TVE app downloads across mobile and over-the-top platforms such as Roku, Apple TV and Xbox. Overall, web site traffic more than doubled to 32 million unique visitors per month and A+E Networks products have been recognized with multiple Webby Awards and an induction into the Apple iPad Hall of Fame.

Silverman served in a similar role at Lifetime Networks beginning in September 2006 and until its acquisition by A+E Networks in 2009. Prior to that, he served as executive producer of for the 2006 Torino Games and the 2004 Athens Games. Earlier, he served as Director, Internet Services, at, and worked in Media Relations for the NBA and the Utah Jazz.

For over 20 years, David B. Williams has been building companies and producing innovative products and content at the frontiers of digital media. In his current role as Chief Content and Technology Strategist for Endemol Beyond USA, he is leveraging the global assets of the world’s largest independent television production company to develop a portfolio digital-first brands. Prior to Beyond, he developed and deployed advanced mobile apps to help Maker Studios, Alloy Digital and other leading digital networks own their audiences. In 2008, a company he co-founded was acquired by Disney. At Disney, he was instrumental in creating Take180, an award-winning digital studio and network that blazed a trail on YouTube for today’s multi-channel networks. He also created and produced original programming, and built and ran MyDcast, Disney’s kid-safe user-generated video platform which powered events for Toy Story, Phineas and Ferb and many other top franchises. Before Disney, Williams developed and patented a technology for “massively social storytelling” to produce a succession of online properties – from In the Motherhood, a series that migrated from the web to ABC primetime, to a Star Trek series starring George Takei and Wil Wheaton, and a series of “fanisodes” based on Showtime’s The L Word which earned an Interactive Emmy nomination. In the late nineties, Williams created and launched the web’s first regularly scheduled animated series, WhirlGirl, which was picked up by Showtime, attracted capital from Viacom, and ran for over 100 episodes. Born and raised in Manhattan, Williams was educated at Sarah Lawrence College and now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons.

Travis Winkler is responsible for the distribution of Hulu’s paid subscription and free services. He leads all of Hulu’s relationships with its device partners, including Apple, Google, Roku, Sony, Microsoft, and Samsung, and numerous others, along with its web and mobile content distribution partners including AOL, Time, Comcast, ATT, and Flipboard. Travis oversees business development, subscriber/user acquisition, engagement, and retention, technology and product cooperation, and various co-marketing initiatives for these partnerships.

While at Hulu, Travis has been instrumental in helping grow Hulu Plus from 1 million subscribers to over 6 million subscribers in three and a half years, and has worked to expand its distribution footprint to over 400 million connected devices in the US.
