KEYNOTE: Twitter Amplify and the 2nd Screen
2014 looks to be another remarkable year for Twitter as the Amplify program continues to gain momentum as the premier social TV engagement product for the 2nd screen. With 95% of live television conversations currently happening on Twitter, Amplify helps everyone win: Users receive spectacular, timely content in their timelines; Broadcasters reach new audiences; Brand messaging becomes more interactive, engaging and measurable; and Advertisers get an integrated cross-platform tool for reaching the social conversation, wherever it happens. In our Keynote you’ll learn more about how Twitter has further amplified the social TV conversation with real-time, dual-screen sponsorships and in-Tweet video clips from broadcasters.
Mike Park, Senior Manager, Twitter Amplify, Twitter

Managing the Converging TV Experience from Living Room to On-the-Go
As the definition of “TV” continues to change, perhaps the biggest challenge is creating a user experience that works equally well across all screens and satisfies a plethora of different viewing experiences—from launching a video in the living room, to viewing on the go, to companion viewing in front of a larger 1st screen. The challenges range from creating the right interface, to providing seamless functionality, to ensuring that the content is properly monetized across each screen in a way that resonates with consumers and advertisers alike. This session digs deep into the world of screens as our diverse panel discusses their battle scars and successes in managing video convergence, and shares their views on where this is all headed.

Video Ad Monetization with a Companion or Viewing Experience
App publishers are finding the most success in monetizing their 2nd screen experiences through video ads. As the future of television moves to the second screen, the way advertising is produced, inserted and purchased is changing. Next Gen Living Room: Finding and Viewing Your Content on the Big Screen
The greatest challenge facing TV consumers today is finding something to watch in the morass of programming currently enabled by hundreds of cable channels as well as the mass proliferation of content available through OTT services like Hulu, Netflix and YouTube. Many players are trying to solve this problem while keeping you in their ecosystem — your pay TV provider wants to keep you on their OTT and linear channels; Netflix, Hulu and Amazon want to keep you in their app; while 3rd party services want to help you find your content on any service and help you launch the video to your 1st or 2nd screen. What progress has our industry made to date? Is Chromecast the future, or just one more tool to keep you behind the walls of the app provider? Listen to a spectrum of players in the discovery space describe what is “real” and what is “next” in this critical consumer facing area.
